Chapter Three

Me, Skylar and Max went inside and got in line to pay. We went inside the gym and found a big group of our friends, and started dancing.
A slow song came on and everyone started pairing up. "Wanna dance?" Max came up behind me and asked.
"Sure." I smiled. He grabbed my waist and pulled me towards him. I put my arms around his neck and we started dancing. Instead of having butterflies in my stomach i felt like there was an elephant stomping around in my stomach.
"You're shaking." He laughed. I didn't know what to stay, i just kinda laughed it off, and moved closer to him. He was so tall, and he smelled really good. I was nervous, it's the first time i've ever even danced with a guy. The song finished, it felt like we had been dancing for an hour. I could've stayed in that moment forever.

After awhile, my other friend Caleb came up to me. Caleb had black hair, and green eyes. "Wanna go get a drink?" He asked.
"Okay." We went upstairs to the cafeteria and he bought us both a drink. We went and sat down at one of the tables.
"I need to show you something." He said, putting his drink down on the table.
"Okay." I was kinda confused. He didn't seem to really have anything with him that he could show me. Then he started rolling up the sleeve on his shirt, right then i knew what he wanted to show me. I couldn't believe it, not him, he was always so happy. "Why?" I asked, still kinda in shock.
"Everything." He said, putting his sleeve back down. "I stopped now but i have to take pills for depression now, and i tried committing suicide once." NO, not him, he was my really good friend, this could not be happening. I was dreaming, and somebody needed to pinch me to wake up.
I couldn't think of anything to say. I was completely speechless.
