chapter three
(Luke)
I sat next to her
quietly as if waiting for her to cry or scream or do something to
let her bottled feelings out,
but she didn't say anything. She just sat there looping her
beautiful hair around her finger.
I stood up slowly but surely, and asked "Would you like me
to take your bowl to the sink or do you think
you will have some more?" , she didn't respond but she
held her bowl up to me, which was almost
completely filled with the chicken soup my mom prepared. I went
into the kitchen quickly so I didn't leave
her alone for a long time. I didn't understand somethings
about Kylie.
Sure I was the person who knew her the best out of everyone, but
somethings about her were a mystery
to me and I was just waiting for her to let me solve it.
So I got back outside where she was still sitting and I sat down
next to her, not a word from either of us.
I took a deep breath and just as I was about to speak, she said,
"would you run away with me?", I
didn't
know how to respond. I didn't know what she was thinking
about while we were sitting in silence.
All I knew was, my parents weren't home, we just finished
dinner,
and Kylie wants me to take a huge risk with
her.
Sorry If the end of the chapter is a little bit abrupt, and
it's kinda short! I'm new at this!
