Chapter 32.
*Evies
POV*
*2 months
later*
It was the summer dance, I’ve being
waiting for this day.
I looked outside waiting for Eddie to come
pick me up.
After 15 minutes, they were a
knock.
My mom opened the door with her stomach
looking bigger than ever.
“Evie, Eddie’s here” she
said, I stepped downstairs to see Eddie in his
suit.
“Bye mom, love you” I said
hugging.
“You haven’t but his corsage on
him” mom smiled holding out the flower.
I placed it on the side of his blazer while
he placed mine around my wrist.
Mom quickly snapped a few pictures and kissed
us both on the cheek.
Once we got in the car Eddie smiled and put
on a CD.
“You look beautiful” he smiled;
he pulled me in and kissed me.
“You don’t look so bad
yourself” I said placing his corsage
straight.
“I’m driving now give in”
he said grabbing his gear stick.
Once we arrived to school, people looked at
us as we linked hands.
I looked over to Ruby who came towards me and
we hugged.
“You look gorgeous” I said, she
had on a red knee length dress with silver
heels.
“You don’t look so bad
yourself” she smiled. We followed her inside where she
linked arms with her boyfriend; Isaac.
“Follow me” Eddie said grabbing
my hand and pulling me to outside where the stars were
shining.
“What are we doing here?” I said
feeling the breeze on my face.
“I got you this” he smiled
placing his hands by his side.
“It’s beautiful” I said
hugging him, he got the silver diamond bracelet out the box and
placed it on my wrist.
We went back inside to do a slow dance; most
couples did it along with friends.
I smiled and kissed Eddie on the lips but it
didn’t feel like way Alec kissed me.
It was time to move on and that’s what
I did. I moved on, just like he probably would have
done.
"I love you Evie Robinson, I always have done" Eddie
whispered into my ear.
"I love you too" I said sweetly.
"Be mine forever" he said, I let out a laugh and hit
him playfully in the stomach, "I mean it"
"I'm all yours" I whispered.
"Good, and I'm all yours" he said kissing me on the
lips.
I felt guilty like I shouldn't be with Eddie.
"You don't look good" Eddie said moving away from
me.
"I'm alright" I said in a low flat voice.
"I know you're thinking of Alec" Eddie said,
"Look he loves someone else"
"H-How do you know?" I said looking into his eyes.
"Uh he didn't tell you?" Eddie said placing his
hands through his hair.
"No, who does he love?" I said in a high voice, I felt
tears escape my eyes.
"His next door neighbour" he whispered.
I ran out the room and went outside.
He did move on, just like I said.
