Other Side Of The
World.
Chapter 31,
*Alec’s
POV*
I walked to the restaurant with Amanda
walking beside me; I looked down to our hands and smiled. I
opened the door and we walked towards the
waitresses.
“Table for two” I smiled looking
at the women, she led us to our seats.
We sat down and looked to the
menu.
“I’ll have the fish and
fries” I said smiling.
“Any side orders” she said
writing it down on her notepad.
“Peas please” I
smiled.
“I’ll have the special of the
day, Shepherd’s pie and mashed potatoes” Amanda said
twirling her brown hair around her finger.
“We’ll get it done as soon as
possible” the waitress said walking off towards the
entrance of the restaurant.
“What are you planning on doing at
college?” Amanda said smiling.
“Uh media” I said rubbing my
head.
“Cool” she said
smiling.
After 20 minutes of waiting our food
came.
“Can I have a bit of your fish?”
she said putting her fork near my fish.
“Sure” I smiled “Only if I
can have a bit of your pie”
“Go on then” she
laughed.
Suddenly my peas ended up all over the floor
then on my plate and being eaten.
I saw people stare at me every time I dropped
a pea on the floor.
“Stupid peas” I mumbled, I saw
Amanda laugh and stole 3 fries.
“Nice chips” she said leaning
back in the wooden seat.
I forgot English call fries,
chips.
“That was very nice” she smiled
removing her napkin off her knees.
“Any deserts?” I asked flashing a
smile.
“No thanks” she said patting her
stomach “This stomach could feed the whole of
England”
“Shut up” I said swallowing the
fish, “Your stick thin”
“Nah” she said blushing,
“I’m on a diet”
“You don’t need to your perfect
the way you are” I said.
“You’re a charmer” she
scoffed.
After we finished we headed back home, I
could see she was waiting for something.
“So, Amanda how about if you be my
girlfriend?” I said leaning back in the
car.
“Uh yes” she said smiling and
jumping out of the car.
“I’ll see you tomorrow” I
said kissing her on the cheek.
“Sure thing, thanks for a wonderful
evening!” she beamed as she entered her house I felt a
smile go across my face.
