I never was the country type. I hated the smell of cow sh*t and chicken houses. I hated hot weather, and having to drive three hundred or so miles to get to the mall. I hated sweet ice tea and friend chicken. I hate church, I always have. The south, to me, is for low life people. I am not a low life. But, here I am, in southern Alabama, with my Gucci sunglasses and expensive luggage, my two hundred dollar high heels sinking into the mud that surrounded my Aunt and Uncles.. house. It looked more like a shed to me. Hi, my name is Rachel. I got sent to live with my aunt Liv and uncle Bob because I am wreck. My mom, now a single mom since dad died, couldn't handle the cutting and drinking. She hated the way I was. The rebel in me. So she sent me south. She said I needed to get my attitude in check, and that southern hospitality was a great way to start. Right. I'm fifteen. This is my story.
