One Last Chance

i sat in the passenger seat wearing wearing my dark wash jean's, and one of sky's t-shirts.
my hair was up in a messy bun, and i wasn't wearing any makeup.
but i didn't care i just wanted to see my mother.
we arrived at the hospital. sky kissed my forehead and helped me out of the car.
"sweet heart, are you sure?" there was pain in his voice.
"i have to see her, just one last time" my word's trailed off.
sky was holding my hand, we walked into the hospital together.
i placed a bouquet of lilly's on the table, i couldn't speak.
i held her hand, and whispered to her quietly.
"we will be together someday soon, i will miss you forever".
i kissed my her forehead one last time and whispered goodbye.
sky waited with me in the hallway, while the doctor gave us funeral detail's.
i couldn't believe this was really it, the one part of family i had left was gone.
i heard my phone vibrate in my purse.

look's like mommy's not coming home:)
who are you, this isn't funny! i was crying by now.
"nicole, nicole what's wrong?" sky's arms were around me.
i showed him the text messages and turned off my phone.
"do you want me to stay tonight? we can drive to school together."
"no sky, i've kept you here the last couple weeks."
"i don't mind sweet heart, i want to be with you" he smiled.
"i will be fine, go home and get some sleep" i tried to smile back.
i walked into the house alone, leaving sky outside in the dark.
i lied in the dark with nothing but the moon light and my biggest secrets.
there was a shock of pain in my stomach, that made me scream.
with my arm's wrapped around my leg's i started to cry.
