"Hey, Roxanne," Carys called to me. "Carys!" I cried, immediately dropping my bags where they were and running up to Carys, my best friend. I hadn't seen her in years; since we moved to Canada. But now, I was back in Southern California, my home state. I really missed this place. I'd much rather it here than in Canada.

I hugged her and  didn't let go. "My gosh, Ca! You've changed! I've missed you so much! I have lots to tell you!" I cried triumphantly, pulling back. "Yeah babe missed you too," she smiled at me.

I had practically just told her my life in Canada. All of it. It was really dark, 12:00 at night to be exact. "I'm tired, Roxy, can we go to sleep now? Please," she begged doing her puppy eyes on me. She knew I was a sucker for her vibrant blue eyed puppy dog look. "Fine," I sighed and we snuggled into our sleeping bags.

I woke up from a beeping noise. Beep beep. I groaned, rubbing my eyes as I realised it was my phone. I picked it up and looked at it. One new message. Unknown. Okay, who would be calling me at.. I looked at my phone clock. Two freaking AM?

Hello Roxanne. I'll call you Roxy. I know Carys does. I am your worst nightmare, and I will come ruin your life. I am a demon so you can not argue with me. I've been sent to kill you from my boss. You may be able to run, but you can't hide.
I'm so evil.

What the hell? Who is this creep? "Carys, Carys," I shook Carys violently and she woke. "Gosh, what Roxy?" she groaned. "Look at this-" I showed her the message.
