I looked around the wood- it was beautiful, little patches of moss on the stones. The trees were all leaning to one side and there was a small stream at the end of the patch of trees. I’d never been here before; I had only been living in London for a month or two so I hadn’t really discovered places like this. Little sanctuaries. Maybe if I had found one earlier, when Michael had blabbed about my dad’s newest story, when Summer had completely ignored me at the Valentine party and when Elliot had decided I wasn’t rich enough for him, then maybe- just maybe- I would’ve liked living here.

But I hadn’t and I wouldn’t. I’d just have to find one at the new place I was going to. I didn’t know where I was going yet, I’d seen a few adverts and I’d heard whisperings about different schools but I wasn’t sure where I’d go. I’d have to check as soon as I’d got home.
