Chapter 16

We walked around the shopping area, with a few bags in our hands.
The blazing sun was sizzling on my skin, and I was about to pass out.
"You okay there? Wanna go eat?" Nate asked.
"I'm fine." 
"C'mon let's go each something." He grabbed my hand and dragged me to the car.
He put all the bags in the back and drove us to T.G.I. Fridays.
We got a booth and ordered our drinks.
"So, how'd you get over it so quickly?" Nate asked, sipping on his Dr.Pepper.
"Get over what?" I stupidly asked.
"You know.." He said, trailing off.
"No, I don't. And if you mention it one more time, I will rock you." I rolled my eyes and played
with my straw
"Oh, sorry." He muttered.
I obviously knew what he was talking about, Jayden.
"I know this is random, but do you like Alek?" Nate asked, with a straight face.
"Uh, no? Why? Who said that?"
"No one. But you guys just act like you like each other."
I shrugged and kept sipping on my drink.
