Chapter 1

"Logan!" My best friend Maya shouted from behind me. I turned around, and see her in Hollister skinny jeans, Forever 21 tank top, and her long blonde curly hair bouncing all over the place. Maya and I have been best friends ever since we were two, and we plan to stay friends. Today was the first day of 8th grade. We walked to our first period, writing, together, and as we walked into the classroom, I saw my ex, John. Of course, he's in the class, and of course I'm still totally in love with him. I stare at him, his icey blue eyes meet mine, and a little grin apears on his face. I can't help but blush.
Maya, noticing what I was doing whispered to me, "Oh stop that. He treated you like crap. Get over him. There's so many better guys than that loser." I knew she was right. He did treat me horribly. Yes, he was my first love and all, but he would tell his friends he hates me and he would always lie to me. But other than that, he loved me. He really did, I know he did. I was his longest relationship, that means something, doesn't it? And if I was his first love, and he was my first love, there is no giving up on each other.
"Hey Logan." He said as he stood up from his desk. He reached his arms out for a hug. I didn't know what to do, so I hugged him. Oh boy, how I've missed his hugs. On the corner of my eye, I saw Maya roll her eyes with anger.
"So how was your summer?" He asked. All inicidently. He knows how my summer went. He got over me half way through the summer, and I spent the rest of the summer wondering why he broke up with me.
"It was good." I lied.
"Same." He said. He was wearing jeans and an Abercrombie T-shirt. He grew out his brownish-blonde hair which was a cute flippy style. I had to admit, he looked pretty good.
"Well isn't this awkward." My friend Ben said. Of course, everyone laughs. Ben always made me laugh. Ben and I have been best friends since we met in 4th grade. We tell each other everything. Ben had black Justin Bieber-ish hair and adorable green eyes.

It was lunch time, and since my friends and I finished eating, Emma, my other best friend, Maya and I went over to the guys table to hang out. There were no more seats left at the table, so John offered to give up his seat for me, since I felt bad he would have no seat, I told him we can share it, so we did. My hand laid on my leg, and I felt John touch it. He slowly rubbed his smooth hand over mind, until he turned it around and locked our fingers together. I was so happy, I was desperatly hoping this would happen. I knew we were meant to be. He slowly pulled away from my hand under the table, and put his arm around me, showing everyone he still liked me. By now, I was smiling so big, my mouth hurt. Ben made fun of us saying stuff like "Look the love birds are back together!" But stuff like that didn't bother me, all that mattered was John and I.
"So John, who do you like?" Emma asked. She obviously knew he still liked me, since he was putting his arm around me, she just wanted him to say it. He looked at her for a second.
Then he said, "Wanna know who I like." The whole table replied a simple yes. To show who he liked, he kissed me on the cheek. I was startled at first, then surprised, then happy. I was more happy than I ever was. I love him. I didn't want the moment to end.
"Kiss, kiss, kiss!" Ben started saying.
"I wish." John said. He knew I didn't like kissing in school. Honestly, I hate to see people making out in the halls. I like it to be more special, and less public. When lunch was over, he held my hand all the way back to my locker. Then walked me to my class, and told me he loves me.

I was walking to the bus, and I saw John running off his bus, I tried to stop him and say hi, but he just said whatever and kept on running. He was completly ignoring me after lunch, which I have no idea why because he told me he loved me. Then I knew why. He ran off his bus to talk to Allie. Ugh, I hate Allie. She steals everyones boyfriends and never asks for permission. Allie and I are friends, it's just I secretly don't like her. So I walk over, to see what's going on with John and Allie, if it's anything important. I start to walk over and I hear the words I dreaded.
"Will you go out with me?" John asked Allie.
"Yes." Allie replied. Simple as that. Then they both walked on their buses, leaving me there in total shock, about to burst into tears. I couldn't stand this. Why did he do that to me? This only happened because I was happy, for once, and being happy, well, it's never enough.
