The school bell rang.
I stuffed my books and other things into my bag.
I finally shoved my way out of the noisy hall.
Outside the gates was Chris.
Surprise, surprise.
I rolled my eyes.
"Listen, I'm not dealing with your crap right now.
Seriously, if you want to get a girlfriend then
try something less selfish and jerky."
"I just wanted to say I'm sorry. Calm down."
I widened my eyes.
"Uh, you're actually apologizing?"
"Yeah. Are you that surprised?" Chris asked.
"Sorta, kinda, yes. Very surprised. Anyway, thank
you."
I brushed past him, about to leave, when he grabbed me again.
"Let's have a real date. I'll meet you at the Pizza
Place." He grinned.
