This is why I hated arrogant people like Chris.
Here was a fine example.
He cringed.
"Well, I'm not saying you're not pretty or anything,
but, uh, my friends and I were playing
Truth or Dare and someone told me to date the most loser-ish girl
in the school and, well,
I ended up picking you..?"
I rolled my eyes. "Typical."
"Anyway, thanks for telling me the truth. Gotta
go."
I grabbed my bag and was about to leave the hall when Chris
stopped me again.
"What NOW??" I sighed.
"Come on. You're fiesty, which is a good thing, and, uh,
yeah!"
I stopped in my tracks. "Have you run out of good qualities
to list? No thanks, "babe." I'll
pass."
I marched out, angered-no, RAGING, and frankly
annoyed.
