Brianna's POV
Was Justin really waking up? Or was I just freaking
out?
I squeezed his hand back to see what he would do. I saw his
eyelids flutter a bit but remain closed.
"Justin. Please wake up," I begged.
"You can do it, sweetie," Pattie
whispered.
Finally, his eyes popped open. I giggled with relief and
Pattie sighed happily.
"Brianna! Oh my gosh, are you alright!?" he exclaimed.
I gave him a look.
"Uh, I'm just dandy. Why are you asking me if
I'm alright? You're the one who was trapped inside the
burning hotel!"
"I know," he chuckled. "But I didn't know i
you had gotten out. I heard you helping those people in the
elevator. That was amazing."
"Wait, if you heard me then why didn't you follow
me?" I questioned.
"I couldn't hear you that well, so I didn't know
which way to go. And, I was mostly focused on getting myself
out." he looked embarrassed.
"I'm going to go get the doctor," Pattie said suddenly, and left the room. She probably
wanted to give us some private time.
"Were you making sure your Beliebers
weren't being let down?" I giggled. He sighed
heavily.
"No, I was scared and acting selfish. But you were amazing
enough to help a woman and two kids who would have died if it
weren't for you," he looked at
me with admiration in his eyes. I felt myself blush.
"You would've done the same thing, you just weren't
there. It's no big deal," I said hurriedly.
"It is a big deal," he said sharply. "You're a
hero,"
"Whatever," I giggled. "I'm just glad
you're okay." I leaned down and pecked his lips. He
smiled.
"Well, I wasn't going to leave you alone that
quickly," he chuckled. I laughed with him.
What would I have done if this boy had
left me?
