Shutting The Door

The fights lost their meaning
When I lost hope
Everything that made me happy
I resented
My heart was broken
Never to be repaired
Then locked away in denial
I just want to forget it all
I need that one person to fix it all

It's you who refuses to see
At least I know the truth
What you say only makes me stronger

My tears have all dried up
And the sun has began to rise
My hate is sailing out to sea
Because I know who I am
And what I can be
There will be no need to hide my scars
Too many days of pretending they don't exist
I shut one door
And opened many more
