Sticks and Stones can Break my
Bones.....Part 2
When I got out of my car, I
breathed in the cold air of a dark fall day.
Ahhh, I
thought to myself, School. I didn't really like school, but I
guess it was okay. I was in the play, and we were doing Alice in
Wonderland, so I had to be there, or I would be kicked
out. I grabbed my backpack and walked inside the place that's
prison for most kids. If the wall color wasn't white, it
would be less dull, but I never complained.
I approached my locker, and realized someone was at the locker
right next to me. Which was weird, because that locker is no
one's. I couldn't see the student's face, but I saw
long blonde hair, so I figured it was a girl. I opened my locker,
and the girl stepped out from behind her locker door.
"Hey can you help- Allison!" I looked up, and there she
was: Whitney.
"Oh my gosh! Hey Whitney! So this is your locker now?"
I couldn't believe my luck, I would be the first person to
befriend the new girl, so if she ended up being popular, I would
be a popular girl's friend.
"Yup!" She smiled, "Umm, can you help me
out?"
"Sure! Whatcha need?"
She looked down to her schedule, "Well, I'm looking
for.... Mr. Young's room?" She looked up at me, confused
expression on her face.
"Ooh, Mr. Young. He's down that hallway and to the
left," I pointed out the way, 'Do you want me to go with
you? I have him first period too."
"That would be great!" She beamed. We talked more as we
walked down the hallway. We passed a lot of students, but the
person who caught her eye bothered me a bit. She stopped walking
to point a student out, "Ooohh, whose that??"
I looked to see who she was pointing to, and stopped, "Oh,
that's Justin Green. He's kinda of popular here," He was
more than just the popular guy to me though. Jet black hair,
emerald green eyes, and plus, he can play the guitar. I blushed
thinking about him,
Apparently Whitney noticed, she gasped, "Do you like him?
Come on, you can tell me!"
I hesitated, "Umm, a little," I confessed. She smiled,
I smiled nervously, and we kept walking. At the end of the day,
we exchanged phone numbers and went our separate ways. It
didn't seem bad at the time, but little did I know that one
little confession would break me and ruin my
life.
