YouBelongWithMe
Taylor and I walked through the
doors of my house. It was quiet, but Cassie’s car was in
the driveway, so I knew she was home. We went straight up into my
room and put on some comfy sweatpants. We grabbed my blankets and
pillows and headed to my basement, where there was a 64 inch
television with blue-ray and surround sound. (sometimes it felt
good to be rich.) Once we made ourselves a fort out of the
blankets and pillows, Taylor whipped out the bag that held our
ice cream, soda, and cookies. She grabbed one of the spoons and
began shoveling her Ben and Jerry’s ice cream into her
mouth. I set up How to Train Your Dragon, and sat
down.
“.... hey
Sophie.” Taylor said in between
shovelfuls.
“yeah.”
“I really am sorry that I
wasn’t there for you today. I was um, with Brad... and I
feel so bad, because when I found out what happened, you were in
the bathroom with Jason....”
Something clicked in my
head.
So it WAS Jason who saved me. I
thought I was merelt hallucianting.
“Taylor! You are sure
that it was Jason who helped me?”
Her blue eyes grew
big.
“Yes, I actually talked
to him when you were talking to Mr. Benedict. He said that he
never hit someone harder in his life. He actually asked me for
your phone number.”
My heart began to beat
faster.
Omg, he wanted my phone number.
I’m sure he’s just gonna make sure I’m
alright.
I looked Taylor and smiled. She
giggled.
“Yeah, I
know.”
“Taylor, I never told you
what happened in the parking lot!”
Taylor looked confused, so I
told her all about what Jason said... and unfortunately what I
said to him.
“‘He’ll make
it up to you?’ Dude, I hope what happened with
Floose
doesn’t count.”
“Yeah, me
too.”
We were at the part in the
movie when Toothless lets Hiccup touch is face. Once Hiccup
touched Toothless, my phone vibrated and lit up. At first, I
thought it would be my mom; making sure I was okay. But then, I
realized it was from a number I didn’t know. My heart
jumped.
‘Hey Sophie,
it’s Jason. I wanted to make sure you were okay. And I was
actually wondering if I could call you.’
"I can't help thinking this is how it ought to be."
