CHAPTER 2


We didn't see Jacob that day at all. It was weird because we had a lot of classes together. It wasn't like him to skip school, i mean it was the first day of school. Who does that?

We walked home. My dad was stuck at work, so he couldn't drive us. Zoe and me we laughing, when suddenly we saw Jacob beating some guy up. We ran to him and Sam tried to break them up, but then some guys came and started hitting Sam it the stomach. I was afraid for him and Jacob, but they didn't hurt Jacob, i think he was with them. They all left in a flash. We didn't even see them go. This day was turning out to be very strange.

Me and Zoe picked up Sam and started walking home. Usually we would get there in about 15 min. This time it took us 35. By then my dad was home, but we snuck Sam trough the window so he could clean up. Dad would think he is just back to his old self.

When mom left Sam got into a lot of fights. I guess it was just his way of ''coping''. But he's over that. Me and Zoe were standing by the counter, while my Dad my making lunch, and i just started crying. I don't know what came over me. Tears just started poring, then something happened.

Blood was everywhere. Blood from my eyes. What was wrong with me? Zoe ran to get some towels, my dad was looking for his car keys, so he could take me to the hospital, but Sam he was standing at the end of the stairs and he was smiling?! I know i couldn't see that well because of the blood but i could recognize his laugh. No body else saw. Just me. Am i dreaming?
