Long, but worth reading

This friday, we had the Welcome Back dance at our school.
A Slow song came on, and I had no one to dance with of course. I looked over and noticed,
one of the popular boys was also standing alone, while all of his friends danced.
I had no idea what his name was, or what compelled me to do so, but i walked up to him, and asked him to dance. He said he'd love to. 
We found ourselves dancing til the end of the night.
It wasnt until the last slow dance where he leaned down and whispered in my ear
" I'm not sure if you remember me, but I was in love with you in kindergarten "
I looked up into his eyes and realised, I had been in love with him too.
