my best friend did this for me and i loved her for it: She new that i liked him so she asked me first if it would hurt me and she said if i still rly liked him shed say no for me. just ask her and say that

tell you friend what happened. be like "_____ the guy we both like asked me out and i didnt want to start anything with you so i wanted to tell you. i dont wanna ruin our friendship over some boy, but is it ok with you if i go out with him?" something liek tht. then go from there. good luck! i hope everything wrks out!

he asked you out he likes you not her , and did you tell her you like him first if so then shes trying to take him away from you but say yes to him your firend will get over it :)
