i think you should talk to this guy you really like! ive been in the same situation where i thought that he was just pretending then i asked him he said no i really do you like you we ended up dating till this day ! so i think if you really like him dont be afraid and just talk to him

Go for it. You only live once, and only so much time. Your saying what if his friend told him, but what if he really likes you! I mean, if its true, its worth it. And if its not real then hes a douche and doesnt deserve you!
