Chapter 1
There once was a little girl named Samantha, Sammy for short. She lived in Watsonville, CA. to her that was the best place to be! With an average of 60 degrees in the summer it was a nice place. But what she loved the most was playing with her Shadow she’d try to hop on her. She would fail. The Shadow was also ready to play when she wanted.
Then one day she disappeared. She searched for him every where she asked other people if they knew were her shadow was. Most of them replied “My darling your shadow is a part of you not something you can lose.” They laughed at her and discouraged her. But what she didn’t know was that her shadow was looking for her to!
She went home and she told her Mother about her day. The mother said the same thing the others said. The Mother suggested that they all settle down and watch Peter Pan. When Sammy saw what Jane did for Peter she said, maybe Jane has my Shadow! The next day Sammy set out in search of Jane she could not find her any were. But what she didn’t know was she was not the only one looking for her shadow. A mean terrible nasty man was looking for her shadow. So he can get to her.
The next couple of days Sammy just sat there and watched TV. That’s all she could do, or so she thought. After about a week her mother told her she need to go outside and play for a little while. Then she saw HIM the mean nasty man.
He showed her the bag and a piece of paper that said in Red“If you want your shadow back meet me near the creek at high noon”her face brightened  and it left just as quickly as it came. She thought, “What if he doesn’t really have my shadow?” well it’s worth a try. Noting lost, but maybe, just maybe something gained. If this wasn’t a trick her and her shadow would be reunited soon, very soon!
So that day at high noon she went to meet him next to the creek. She didn’t see him anywhere then all of a sudden he appeared out of nowhere and blindfolded her and taped her mouth shut. She started to rethink the whole thing.

How is this for a Mystery?
