CHAPTER THREE

After school I found Collin standing by my locker, he was talking to Kelsey.. How sweet, he’s getting to know my friends! When Colin saw me approaching them he quickly gave Kelsey a peck on the cheek and said goodbye. Then Kelsey came over to me and said, “Oh, if you were wondering Collin’s like my brother.. Don’t be alarmed! Hahah!” I laughed with her and then she asked me“Do you wanna go to the mall with Nadia, Molly, and me?!” I smiled and replied “SURE!” So I grabbed my bags and we were off to Kelsey’s Lexus Convertible, it was bright red. I looked around as I climbed in the back with Molly, and my other friends who I met yesterday were standing there with their mouths gaped open, I smiled and waved but only to be quickly told by Molly in a hushed tone “Why are you waving to them? They’re losers!” I said “Oh my gosh.. really? I had no idea!” I was kind of lying because I knew that they weren’t popular, but I kind of felt bad for talking behind their back like that but I got over it. On our way to the mall we were all singing “Summer Nights by Rascal Flatts” and it was a blast.  When we got to the mall we hopped out and ran in. We stopped at Starbucks first and I got a Chocolate Vivanno. It was soo yummy! After that the girls all looked at me, and said “Can we pick out clothes for you?! We love to look alike!” I said “I’d love that girls!!” And we were off to Forever 21. $465 later we were finally done. I looked at my phone 7 Missed Calls from Mother. “Craapp!” I yelled. Nadia asked me whats wrong and I told her how I was supposed to talk to my parents when I got home because of the fiasco yesterday. They rushed me home and I walked in with all of my shopping bags. When I walked in, no one was there. I was surprised. I walked into my room and put away all my clothes, then walked out to the kitchen. Still no one there. “Hmm” I thought to myself, “Where did they go?” I hadn’t seen my parents since yesterday morning, and Alice since last night. It seemed weird so I called my mom, and when she answered she said three simple words “Go To Collins.” And hung up. I didn’t know what she meant but I wasn’t not going to listen to her. So I packed an overnight bag and went to Collins. When I knocked on the door Collin’s mom answered and invited me in even though Collin wasn’t home. I told her what happened and she listened very closely and said that it was fine for me to stay here until my parents got home. When Collin got home he looked surprised to see me sitting on his couch with his little sister in my arms. I looked back and saw him standing there with Kelsey, Nadia, Molly, Issac, Oliver, and Nathan. They all smiled and greeted me, then they sat down in the living room with me and we watched T.V. while I told Collin why I was there, then all of them went home and it was just me and Collin. He looked at me and smiled then kissed my cheek as we both drifted off into sleep. When I woke up I looked over next to me. Collin was gone. But there was a note,
"Hey babe, I went to buy us some breakfast. Just stay on the couch and watch some T.V. I'll be home soon!
love collin!"
I smiled as I turned on the T.V. to a murder investigation that was on. I'm just into shows like that, who knows why! When Collin walked in the door, he wasn't alone. There was some guy behind him, Collin looked scared. So was I, now. I said "Goodmorning Collin, and your friend?"
"Shut up." The strange guy yelled. I jumped back on the couch. The man started to say something again, so I listened to him. "Your name is Aldabella Baker. Isn't it?"
"Ummm...Yes.." I answered.
"I have your parents back in my house. They want you to be safe, so I bargained with them. You and Alice will both be safe. If, that is, If you do everything I tell you to. Alice is at her friends house, and she will stay there. You two will have no contact. I will send you text messages telling you what you have to do in order to get your parents back. And Collin"
