'“Sydney Marie Williams!” I heard my mom yell,” Get downstairs or you’re gonna be late!” “Ugh! Mom! I have to be absolutely perfect for the first day of school!” I said sarcastically,” I haven’t seen these people in 3 months! I don’t want them thinking I’m ugly!” I said curling my light brown hair. “Well do you want me to bring your breakfast up there honey?” My mom yelled up, slightly laughing at my comment. “Nah!” I yelled down. I finished curling my hair and went down stairs in my short shorts and my glee tank top. I ran down stairs and picked up my mini pancakes and ate them in a minute. When I’m nervous I eat, and since i naturally get nervous and I’m naturally skinny, I eat a lot. I grabbed my bag and put my cellphone in my back pocket , “Bye Mom! Love You!” “Okay call you’re dad and ask him when you’re going to his house!” My mom yelled. Since my parents are divorced I switch off randomly. I walked out and jumped in my red convertible. Sometimes it was nice being an only child of two people who make at least 1,000 dollars a week, each. They tend to buy you good things. I dialed up my friends for a four way call and told them I’d be there soon. It was my turn to drive today. “Sydney!” I heard some one yell. Then I noticed I passed my friends house. I put the car in reverse and Michaela jumped into the passenger seat and her twin Emilie jumped in the back. “Hey Sydney!” Emilie said,” I’m so F**cking excited!” “Same! I cant wait to see-” Michaela said. “ Joey!” Emilie and I yelled, cutting her off. She had been talking about her boyfriend, that she hadn’t seen all summer, for the entire summer. I was kind of sick of the name. But I bet they were sick of my boyfriend Nick. And I know for a fact Michaela and I are sick of Emilie’s crush, Evan. But he was gonna ask her out today. So we had to be supportive. I pulled into Tabi’s drive way just as it got quiet. And since it’s Tabi it wasn’t quiet anymore. Tabi jumped in the backseat and we drove away. “Eeeep! I’m so excited! I cant wait to see everyone!” Tabi yelled, already talking as loud as she could. Then I drove up to Jenny’s and she jumped in. I drove kind of fast cause we were already a little late “Dude! Dont get pulled over!” Michaela yelled. Then it hit me, i didnt have my licence. I slowed down. It didnt matter if i was late for school. I just didnt want to be in jail. “Damn that was close!” Tabi yelled, point to the police car that was parked only a few feet away,” if you hadn’t slowed down. We’d be dead.” “I’d be grounded for life!” I said. I turned into the parking lot and found that we still had 10 more minutes. I jumped out of the car and locked it. We all strutted down the hallways.
