Today was the one month Anniversary
of our relationship ending. He was the most important person in the world to me.

My three best friends walked out on me with him.

When I saw the date this morning, my first instinct was to cry.

But I was honestly surprised to see that I didn't.

not one tear fell from my eye,

not even one.

Today, for the first time, I realized that I'm healing. Really, truly healing.

I've got six new best friends.

I've got a new love interest.

I've got a better social life.

And, overall,
I'm so much happier.

Yes, I miss them.
Yes, I think about them sometimes.

And do I have regrets?
Absolutely.

Once, I told him, "I would die without you."

But look at me now.
I'm still alive.

Perhaps even more so than before.

So, never doubt that the quote
"When one door closes, another one opens"
is a lie. Because it's so very true.
