chapter 6.
I knew in my heart that Conner wanted to kiss me. It was awkward at this point. He let go, after I promised him. He stared at me right in the eyes for a second then looked at the half cleaned living room. "Should we finish cleaning up?" He said with a sigh of the disaster in the room. "Sure." I replied staring at the trash bag I left on the floor. There was only a couple cups left on the table, But there was still a lot of silly string. About 25 minutes later, The living room was complete. Me & Conner went to the kitchen to put the garbage in the bin. I sighed with relief after I put the garbage in the bin. Conner sighed too. "Tori?" - I looked up at Conner, "Yeah?" - He stopped and pulled his phone out of his pocket. He looked up at me, "It's Mom." - He opened it. I couldn't exactly here was she was saying to him, He talked back though with; "Oh okay, Mom. Yeah, I'm coming. CYA in a bit. Love you too." - I looked down with disappointment, I didn't want Conner to leave. He shut his phone and put it in his left pocket. I looked up at him. "Hey Tor, I got to go. Mom needs help around the house, I'm really sor--" I cut him off. "No, It's fine. Thanks for helping, Conner." I tried to give him my best grin without looking sad. "No problem, text me?" he said has he opened his arms for a hug. I gave him a hug ever so tightly. I didn't want to let go. Conner let go, & I was still holding on. A second later, I looked up at him "Of Cours--" All of a sudden, I felt his lips against mine. Conner kissed me. I was frozen, I'm not even sure if I completely kissed him back, I was just so surprised. We stopped kissing and he looked up at me with a grin. I followed behind him going toward the door. "Bye Tori." - "Talk to you later, Conner." He walked out and shut the door behind him. I curled up in a ball, with my back against the door, smiling. My phone vibrated in my pocket. I took it out. Landon, again. "Do you wanna go have dinner? Pick you up at 7?" - I looked at the time, It was 5:20 PM. To be the nice friendly person I am, I texted back with a "Sure." - I ran upstairs to go get ready. But first what I really needed was a shower, I got towels, & got in. About 15 minutes later, I got out wrapped myself in a towel. Walked out to my bedroom. I got dressed into a fancy shirt, & a blue jean mini skirt. I applied eyeliner, mascara & eye shadow. I curled my long light brown hair. Before I knew it, Landon was here. He took me to his car, I shut and locked the door behind me. We went to the fanciest restaurant in my city, La Masionette. We sat down at a table, & Started talking. We ordered our drinks and then food. While waiting for our food, Landon started talking, grabbing my hands that were on top of the table, "You know, Tori, I've always ---" He stopped, he was looking at the entrance of the restaurant. He gripped my hands tighter. I was confused. I slowly turn around to see Conner, staring at Landon & I holding hands, on our date. I took a deep breath, & Turned to look at Landon, His jaw was kind of dropped a bit.
