Chapter Two.
I stepped off the bus, fixing my eyes on the school. 
I took a deep breath. Just another day at BrookeDale High.
Walking toward the front doors of the school, I started turning 
my phone from vibrate to silent. I slid it in my purse. Opening
a door and sliding my body through, I was making my way 
to my locker. Putting the combination in, & opening it. I 
looked at myself in the mirror. There was a reflection behind
me. I turned around quickly, kind of frightened. It was Ethan.
Ethan is my best-friend out of the boys. I was really surprised 
that Ethan was in school, He is ALWAYS in trouble with the city.
He hugged me tightly around the waist, while I hugged him back.
I let go, even though he was still hugging me. "I'm glad your here!"
I said to him. He grinned. As soon as he grinned the bell rang for class.
"I'll walk you?" - "Ok." I said back to him.  As we walked through the 
hall, we was talking about the slightest things Ethan did wrong, that
got put on his record. We was outside my classroom, "See you after, Ava."
I nodded, & went into biology. We was dissecting a pig, my partner was
Sasha. She was one of my friends, but not my closest since of some arguments
in the past. Halfway through class, I saw Sasha glance at me, "Are you going to Ethan's
party?" I looked at her, confused. She looked at me & turned away fast as possible. Throughout the rest of the class, I was wondering why he wouldn't invite me.
As soon as the bell rang, I paced out of the room quickly.
Classes & classes went by. Every other class, I wondered why he wouldn't
say anything to me about his party . It was the last block, & the bell rang, I ran
out of the room, to my locker. Ethan was there, He always meets me at my
locker. I tried ignoring him, but it didn't work. "Ava?" He said. "What?" 
I replied with my voice sharp. "Are you okay - I wanted to ask yo-"
I cut him off, "About your party?, Yeah thanks for inviting me." 
"That's what I was getting to.." He said. I just glared at him. 
"I can't go, I got plans" - I lied. &,
I know that he certainly knew I was lying too.
