idt its desperate. its not common but i dont think thats desperate at all. not everything has to stick to tradition.

That's not true at all. 89% of guys want girls to make the first move. Sometimes guys are too shy to ask a girl out. It's not desperate. It's considerate.

Not desperate.
Some guys have gotten their egos knocked down too many times by girls who have turned them down.

somethimes the female has to make the first move.
