A breath of air
I inhale taking a deep
breath of the sweet air
sitting under this old
oak tree
I close my
eyes
And think of the one I
lost
He was gone in just the
blink of an eye
I can still hear his
cries as he collapses to the cold pavement
The bullet tearing
straight through his heart and then doing just the same to
mine
The gunman runs off
full with fear
And I collapse to his
down to his side and prayed
I look into his green
eyes
They slowly start to
close I move the hair out of his beautiful angel face
Then everything goes
blank
I slowly open my
eyes
I notice a white dove
flying by
An I think of him and
that night
A cool breeze blows my
hair around my face
I slowly get
up
I walk away, away
forever, without looking back
