I think what
messes us all up the
most is that we have this
vision of how it’s supposed to
be.
We set
standards people can’t
possibly achieve. Maybe we
expect perfection because deep
down,
we know that
no one will
ever be able
to give it to
us.
Maybe it’s
our
way of
keeping
people out,
of pushing
them away.
Like if they
aren’t good enough,
we won’t love them…
we won’t get hurt.
