Through My Eyes
 11111.03
Finally my morning classes were over and it was time for lunch. I was starving. I found my normal seat, near Kate Jenn Monica Molly and Taylor. I looked around to see Kate waving at me in the Deli line. I walked over, "Did you talk to David yet?" "No, but I found this weird note in my locker, look." I showed it to her. "It fell out when I opened it this morning." "Oh. My. Gosh. It's totally gotta be David I mean Trey likes you but he's way too shy, Nick likes you but he's too straight forward to go with such a corny catch like that. Dave definitely put that in your locker!" "I was thinking the same thing, especially since you told me that he said to Henry he wanted to talk me. Like, this would be something someone would do if they wanted to talk to you, right?" "Um, duh! But don't worry about it for now, we'll just have to wait and see at 3:30, call me after and tell me everything okay!" We got our food and were walking back over to my table when David stopped me. "Aye goldielocks, it's been a while. Where were you at practice friday?" "I wasn't feeling all that great so I skipped." "Wow, playing hookie without me? Way to leave me hangin." I laughed, "Next time. For sure." I took my seat next to Kate. "He's totally diggin you." "Just eat your food," I said trying not to smile. The rest of the day went by pretty fast, all I had after lunch was gym then English. I was watching my english teacher, Mr. Y short for something I really can't pronounce, talking about verbs; I know right, this is supposed to be 10th grade. Anyway, I could feel Nick looking at me with his green steady eyes. So was Tasha, who has been completely in love with him since 8th grade. She kinda creeped me out, one of the reasons I barely talk to Nick anymore. Kate was in my class too, but she was actually paying attention. So I did what I did in all my classes when I was bored, filed my nails. "Ms. Veronica? Care to repeat was Rick just said?" "Uh, something about-" "How verbs are the simple predicate in the sentence," Nick finished for me. Thank gosh, I would've been screwed. 'Thanks' I mouthed to him. The bell rung. Time for cheerleading practice.
