Through
My Eyes
1.02
We walked through the doors, and went our separate ways to
our lockers. As soon as I opened up my locker, a note fell
out.
Meet me at the soccer field 3:30
No name, no signature, no idea. I
stared down at the paper, trying to figure out who this
mystery person was. I was leaning towards David considering
Kate and I just had a long discussion on how perfect he was,
and how she over heard him and Henry talking about me. I
guess I would just have to find out after cheerleading
practice. I grabbed my Science book and headed down the hall.
The second bell rang and I found my seat in the second row
next to Kevin Gardener. I didn't like anyone at the
moment, but Kevin was by far the cutest boy in our grade. He
had short brown-blonde hair, kind of spiked in the front. He
had super white straight teeth, a summer tanned skin, and a
muscular body. Somebody even stopped him at the mall once
asking him to be a model, even though he declined. "Hey
Veronica lookin good," he said to me. "Oh be quiet,
you say that everyday. It gets old after a while," I
said sarcastically. He started writing down the homework then
took my agenda and wrote down mine too, he was such a
sweetheart. He was tall, almost 5 inches taller than me. I
was 5'6" which was tall at my school, and compared
to Kevin I was a midget. He was 5'11" but I liked
the way he towered over me. "You look tanner, are you
trying to catch up to me or somethin Johnson?" He
chuckled, obviously he was kidding around with me. I always
told him how I was jealous of how tan he was, now he was
using it to his advantage. "You know what Gardener? I
think I've already caught up, you just cheat."
"Oh I cheat I'd like to hear this one." I
thought for a second, "Well you go to the beach without
me, how am I supposed to compete with that?" "Then
come with me." This sounded like a date, if he was
actually taking this seriously. "Good morning class,
today we will be learning about our earth's economy,
including money, jobs, and our current resources. It's a
new subject so...." Mrs. Brown went on and on. I hated
this class, it was so freaking
boring.
