Some Cuts Just Won't Heal

 

Chapter 5

       When I realized that I had fallen for Drew again. I didn't know what to do I mean, I like him but these past months we don't even hang out anymore. I knew he lived very close by, but to me it seems weird if I go up to his house. I didn't even know if he had a girlfriend....."Oh....crap.....I don't know if he has a girlfriend!" I thought to myself. I felt like hitting myself in the head, but Drew was here and I didn't want to embarrass myself. "I wonder....if I asked him would that seem weird? No, I'll just tell him as a friend I would like to know." So I asked him. "Hey Drew...I'd been wondering...um.......do you have a girlfriend? Not that I care if you did but as a friend I would like to know..." I looked at him. "...So...do you..?" Drew chuckled. He said, "Well, I guess you'd had to find out yourself. I do have a lot of girls following me though." I gave him an annoyed look. He laughed. That was one of the sweet smiles I had seen from him. To me, it seemed like...like...his smile gave off light. I shook my head. "Nora right now so not the time to think about this, especially with Drew in front of you!" "Well, I should get going. I have to go home." I snapped back into reality and looked at the clock. It was 7:00 am. He knew I didn't want to be alone but he really had to go, so I let him. When he had left, I felt terribly lonely. Suddenly the idea came to me. I immediately called Dee. I knew she is probably sleeping so I called her until she picked up. "Dee! You finally picked up!" Dee mumbled, "What is it? Why did you have to wake me up?! I'm tired!" "Dee! I have an idea!" I shouted. Dee said, "Something that makes you this excited must have to do with Drew. So what's up?" When I heard Dee said that, it make me blush a little. "Did I really like him that much?" "Okay, fine it's about Drew! I have a plan. He wouldn't tell me if he had a girlfriend, since tomorrow I could get out of the hospital we should follow him!" Dee said, "I knew it! I knew you were going to do something like that! Okay as long as there's excitement, I'm in!" "Okay! Dee I'll see you tomorrow. Later. " "Bye" grumbled Dee. I was so excited for tomorrow that I had almost forgot what had happen just the night before.
