13
Ana told Marcus
everything. He was pacing back and forth and I was sitting on his
bed. Charity was sitting on the floor. And Ana was standing by the
door.
"You could have taken me and Spencer." He sighed.
"I know. I didn't know all of that would happen." Ana
stared at me.
I stared at Charity. We laughed. Well of course we were still
drunk, but we calmed down.
"You guys could sleep in here. I will just go
downstairs." He stared at me then left.
It wasn't easy going to sleep that night. I tossed and turned
and my head was pounding. I kept waking up just to go to the
bathroom. But when I finally went to sleep, I was sweating. So I
opened a window.
I woke up and walked downstairs. Marcus was sleeping on the couch.
Ana and Charity left and I didn't want to be alone with Marcus.
So I walked home.
Everybody was the bakery so I just walked upstairs. I took a
shower, brushed my teeth, threw some clothes on and sat on the
front porch. I was thinking about what my Dad had said. Just
think about it. If you want to go back to the city just tell
me. I sighed. My head was pounding.
I watched the waves hit the sand. It was like they were in battle.
But of course, I'm the sand. Getting washed away by something
powerful. I sighed.
I went to go take a walk. i saw Charity and Spencer walking too. I
met their glances and Spencer pointed straight. I decided to get a
closer look
