Accidentally In Love
Chapter Twenty-One

After the beach party us grils just went home and hung out for a few days by ourselves, which was great. But tonight were meeting up with Shane, Skylar and Luke. We had become pretty close with them guys. We were just going to some local cafe. It was an hour or two before we had to meet them so we started getting ready. Me, i kept it simple just jean shorts, tank, light makeup and my hair was into a side braid. We meet the boys at this cute Cafe. We found them sitting at a table and went to join them. "So, who is going to be the brave one and try Karaoke? I asked. They all shook their heads no. "I guess you will have to be the brave one." Said Luke. "No, not me. I am tone death." I said shaking my head and laughing. "um okay this coming from a girl who won two talents shows." Said Hailey.  "That was in six and seventh grade." I protested. And we left the conversation with that. Hailey, Carly, and I later went up to get more drinks and when we came back the boys were acting suspicious then we soon knew why. "Can, I have a young lady named Bria up here please." Spoke the announcer. I turned to everyone in disbelief while the boys were pushing me up to the stage to sing. "Are you Bria?" asked the announcer. i shook my head yes. "Alright, Bria here is going to be signing us some country." He said then the music started. I was still in shook when i recognized the song it was what hurts the most by Rascal Flatts. I looked out to Hailey and Carly and they knew this was going to be to much for me. I began to sing and i started out okay but i couldn't fight back the tears. With tear filled eyes i looked at Carly and Hailey and ran out of the cafe. Behind me i saw Carly start to get up but then i saw Luke coming behind me. "You alright?" he asked while running up to me. This was to much i couldn't't spill my whole life to him. I shook my head no while wiping away my tears. "You wanna talk about it?" He asked. I had to tell him i just needed to get it out. "I am not crying about getting up there and singing." I said between sobs trying not to sound like a complete loser. "It's just that song brings back some memories." i said. "You don't have to tell me." he said. Ignoring what he said i began. "I used to have a older brother, his name was Bryer. He died. We were really close he was two years older then me. We were really close. He always knew how to make me smile. He was the best big brother i could ask for. We were driving home together in the car. He had just brought his basketball team to regionals and we were so pumped we had the radio blasting and just rocking out in the car. The light turned green and we were half through the intersection when a drunk driver ran  the red light at 80mph. I don't remember much after that. I just know what people have told me. I walk up in the hospital a week later with a broken leg and many other injuries. Bryer had died at the crash instantly. My parents had is funeral while i was in a coma. I never got to say goodbye to my big brother. That song we used to sing together it was one of our favorites and now it is my life story." I finished looking back at Luke, who know was in complete shock.  "I am so sorry Bria. If i would have know i wouldn't have picked that song." He said. "Luke, it's fine. I am sure if Bryer was here he would want to have me on that stage singing our song" I said looking up to the sky when Luke's gentle hands reached up to wipe my tears away. Then the rest of the group caught up to us and Carly brought me into a giant hug and whispered in my ear "I miss him to.". She also had tears in her eyes to. Bryer was like a second brother to her. They were just as close as we were. We hung for a couple hours more but my mind just couldn't focus on anything else but somehow we made plans to hang out the next day to. I fell asleep that night hanging on to the locket Bryer gave me for my birthday that was now contains his picture. "Love you" I said as i drifted off to sleep.
