Chapter Ten.
"Hey, hey. You didn't
think I would leave you did you?" he asked, drying my tears.
He slipped the hoodie over my head.
I smiled. We left quickly.
We were heading out of the wood. "Wait, Jay. Our date. I
don't want it to end just because that happened."
He smiled lightly. "Really? Are you sure?" he said,
stroking my arm gently.
I nodded.
He kissed my forehead and took my hand.
We got to the creek. The moonlight was sparkling on the water and
the wind was pushing the swing seat, backwards and forwards.
I led him towards the swing and he sat next to me on it.
"I love it here." I said.
"It's beautiful." he nodded.
"And perfect for a first date with someone you really
like." I said, blushing.
He smiled. "So, are you ok? Did he hurt you?"
"I wouldn't say hurt me exactly...." I trailed
off.
His eyes went wide. "So that's what happened with your
shirt and stuff?"
I nodded. "Yeah. Thank you so much. If it weren't for
you I'd probably still be there." I kissed his
cheek.
He blushed and kissed mine. "Kissing you like that is easy.
But if I ever go to actually kiss you I just can't." he
smiled.
"Kissing anyone else would be easy to me. But kissing
someone I think I'm really falling for is hard." I
murmured, placing my hand on his shoulder. "No matter how
much I really want to."
"So, let's just try..." he said.
I smiled. He started leaning in and my heart raced. I leaned in
too. Our lips suddenly met and my arms were around his neck and
his were around my waist. It didn't last long, just a simple
little kiss. But when we pulled away, we kept our arms around
each other. I gave him another little kiss to end it off.
"Wow." he said, unwinding his arms from around me., I
did the same.
"Wow." He smiled again.
"Yeah. Wow." I giggled. Then remembered. "Oh. Jay,
I forgot. You were supposed to meet my mom."
