When I walked into Ms. Patrel's classroom I noticed that Jaden
was already there. I walked to our table and sat down by
him.
"Your sweatshirt's in my locker."
"Alright, I'll go with you to your locker to get after
class." He said.
"Sure that's a good idea? I mean Barbie might
there."
"Me and her aren't a thing, she just doesn't
understand that."
"Right, well why don't you just write it down for her? Oh
wait, she probably can't read. My mistake." I said.
"Why are you so mean to her? Jealous?" He smiled. His
smile was crooked, exactly like Casey's was. A huge lump was in
my throat and I held back tears.
"Uh..r-right. I'm totally jealous of her like
awesomeness and prettyness." I said in a really valley
girl voice. Jaden laughed and right then Ms. Patrel walked into the
room. As she began teaching, I started to draw the word
'love.' Well actually it turned it out to be more like
graffiti. I could feel Jaden's eyes on my paper as I keep
drawing, but I never looked up at him. The bell finally rang, and I
closed my notebook.
"Shall we go?" Jaden smiled.
"We shall." I laughed.
We made it to my locker, and I put my notebook in there since I
didn't use it for any other classes. I grabbed his sweatshirt
and handed it to Jaden.
"Hey Kaylynn."
"Yeah?" I said as I closed my locker.
"I saw what you were drawing." Great, he would bring it
up.
"Oh."
"No, it's really good!"
"Oh, well thanks I guess."
"Did you take an art class this year?"
"Yeah, well I didn't take it they kind of just gave it to
me. I don't do anything in it though." I shrugged.
"Well, why not. You could get a scholarship to college if you
do the contests and stuff." He suggested as we started walking
down the hallway.
"What makes you think I want to go to college?"
"Well, I don't I just kind of assumed-"
"Shouldn't assume things now should you, Jaden." I
smiled and stopped as I reached my class. He stopped too.
"Guess not." He laughed as I walked into my
classroom.
