I can see the innocence of
a small child
And it almost makes me cry to know
That she might grow up one day
And be just like me
She might lie to her
parents
And hate people she hardly knows
She might be too proud to ask for help
Even though she needs it
She might get accused of being
dark
Just cause she dresses like
it
I'll try so hard just to
show her
People are never what they seem
But I can't worry right
now
Cause she's falling asleep
And that innocent little girl
Is safe
