I stopped believing in promises.
 
A promise is something of the future.  You don’t know how things will be tomorrow, or the next day, or the day you die. Things change, people change, feelings change. Promises are just set-ups for pain, because 9 times out of 10 the way things are as of now will not stay the same forever.  Don’t expect things to be set in place, because then you’ll get hurt when they don’t. Embrace change, and new opportunities, live for the moment. If you must promise, promise something for now, right this second, and nothing more.
