The front of the letter clearly printed the name Abby
Polish. My adress was neatly written in the corner and the
words From Mom; Open When Ready were written on
the flap. I dont know what ready means, but I guess I was. I wanted
to know what happened to my mother from the day I was born. My
father gave me this letter on my first birthday and I was ready for
it to be opened. I blew the dust off of the faded white envolope
that sat in my closet for 15 years. My brittle fingers carefully
tore off the flap making sure that I would not rip the paper. A
white peice of paper with black writing was inside. My mother's
handwriting. My mother's scent. My mother's blood.
Should I continue? Comment!
