&&Then life seemed to be crashing down around her.
She felt like
Everything's been taken.
She's shaken; family, history, the making.
I looked at her &&I saw her face.
The tears poured down like rain.
I felt sadness, not because his death effected me so much.
But I felt sadness for her.
Sadness for this beautiful girl.
I wrapped my arms around her,&&I cried too.
She'd finally broken.
She trembled as we stood there, looking over a grave
of a man who died way too young.
She looked up at me&&asked, tears in her eyes,
"Why did this happen to me? What did I do that was so horrible?"
The lump in my throat grew bigger as she asked.
I simply shook my head&& Told her,
"You didn't do anything to deserve this. It was simply his time..."
She sobbed.
I sobbed.
