There are steps. You need to just let everything out. Cry your heart out and listen to sad songs. If you want, eat. Eat ice cream, pizza, anything. This also helps, sometimes. You need to have girls night. Go out. Have fun. Or just stay inside and watch movies. Then, Take him out of your life completely. Burn his pictures and put everything that reminds you of him in a box. What helps me is wearing a hair elastic and snapping it, hard, whenever you think of him. This will take a while, depending on how long you guys were together. If you want to talk more, I am here.(:
