Think it
over Chapter 3 part 3
I grabbed a cartoon of milk form the shelf at the
supermarket.I put it in the cart, right behind my daughter
Isabella. My phone started to ring. It was Sammy.
"Hey!" she greeted me.
"Hey!" I greeted back.
"How is Bella?" she asked me.
"She is good, getting bigger everyday!" I said to
her. While I was turning into an isle I bumped into a tall man.
"Sorry"I mumbled, and turned around to face
them." Wanna talk to her?" I asked Sammy.
"Sure, why not," Sam said. I handed Isabella the
phone and her face lit up.
"Sorry," I said again. The person turned around.
"Its alright," he said to me,his voice so fimiliar.
He smiled at Isabella."You and your husband have a very pretty
daughter," he complimented me.I sighed. She looks just like
her father. Dark brown hair, sky blue eyes, and the cutest nose.
"Thank you,but I don't have a husband" I smiled at
him. When he smiled back I realized his smile was overwhelming. It
reminded me of Jay.In fact this guy looked like him a bit.
"Oh,I'm sorry." He paused. "Im Jay," He
put out his hand. I froze. It was him. What was he doing here? He
looked at me confused. Didn't he notice me too? Did I change that
much in four years? He looked deep into my eyes. His eyes popped as
he realized it as well.
"Cara?" He asked. He didn't need an answer. He
wrapped his arms around my waist and spun me around.I just froze. I
couldn't move. My mind was still full of questions. He pecked me on
the lips quickly then walked over to Isabella.A few tears fell from
his eyes as he held his daughters face in his hands for the first
time.I walked over to Bella and took the phone form her.
"I will call you later, okay Sam?"
"Bye!"
I looked up from the floor and Bella was in Jay's arms. Her Dad's
arms. But to her, a stranger's arms.
"Mommy?" Bella screamed to me. I walked over to
her.
"This is Daddy...." Her face glowed with
excitment.Jay held her close in his arms for the rest of the
shopping trip.
When we got home I put Bella down for a nap. Time to
talk.
"Why did you leave Cara?' he asked me.
"I thought you wouldn't want a kid then.I wasn't
ready!"
"So leaving would make everything better?" he asked
in a higher tone. I didn't know how to respond.
"I was 19 Jay, I was stupid, and I deffinatley couldn't
think straight with just discovering I was going to have a
child!" I yelled.He didn't answer.
"You aren't wearing your ring." He whispered.
"What ring?" I asked.
"Our engagment ring," he sighed.I had forgot about
that ring.I think I had put it in a box in my closet.
