The Story of Selene
Part Four

Chapter Four
My whole world stopped for a few seconds when he kissed me. However, I quickly recovered and started to kiss him back. A couple of minutes later, we pulled away, out of breath. He kissed me again, and this time I realized that he wasn't the guy for me. Yeah, I used to REALLY like him, but what happened this morning made me think so much differently about him. And I didn't want him anymore. "Wow." He said, right before I was about to speak. "What was that for??" I demanded. "I, I, I don't really know. I like you so much and I've wanted that for so long and I don't know...I realized that this could be my only chance to have you and I didn't want to walk away from here wishing I did that and always wondering what it would have been like..." His words drifted off. "Oh...Look, I have a lot of homework tonight, so I gotta go, text me later?" I asked. "Sure." He said, then he winked at me, turned, and walked away. Yesterday, that would have made my heart melt, but today I just kept wishing it was Blake who kissed me. WOAH. What am I thinking!? Why did I just think about Blake?? I shook the thought from my mind, and walked up to my house to start my homework. When I walked in the house, I was greeted by two seven year olds, my twin brother and sister chasing each other around, laughing. I was also greeted by a 2 year old who was screaming her head off. The twins are exactly the same height, about up to my waist. They had the same blue eyes, tan skin, and light brown hair. Lily's was down to her butt, and Brandon's was short and styled in a fo-hawk. Once they said hello to me, they ran off and continued to chase each other around the house. I walked over to my baby sister Lynn. She had short, soft black hair and big brown eyes. She was beautiful. I got her to stop crying, set her down in her high chair, and walked over to the note on the counter.

Work called, there's an emergency meeting next week in Australia. Sorry about the short notice, I feel horrible about leaving you all here so suddenly. Keith's going to Luke's after school, but not eating dinner, so be sure to pick him up at around 5. I'll be back in 3 weeks. Call me if you guys need anything! And remember, dad's watching over each one of you. Love, Mom. <3" I crumpled the note up and shoved it in the back pocket of my jean shorts. I looked at the date, June 1st, and a Monday, so that means that she would be back on the 22nd. I hung out with my little siblings for a little while and at 4:30, I piled them all into my jeep and called Keith to tell him that I was on the way. Keith is my younger brother who is in 8th grade. He looks just like Brandon but taller. I get along with all of my siblings well, but espicially with Keith, because we are both old enough to understand what's happened to our family, and we can both comprehend it and talk about it.
