Part Two

Chapter Two
I walked into school with Blake by my side. I was worried that we would be made fun of because we were the only ones in our school who didn't go out partying and get wasted during Spring break. I looked at him while he was looking ahead. He was a couple inches taller than me, with long, messy brown hair that looked like Troy's in High School Musical. I loved Blake's hair. He was wearing skinny jeans and a flannel shirt, with Nike 6.0's. I could get lost in his eyes, they were beautiful. Wait, what am I saying? Blake's my BEST GUY FRIEND, I can't like him! It would ruin our whole friendship! "Sel, don't worry, it'll all be fine!" he said to me, referring to me being worried about being made fun of. He put his arm around my waist and we walked to first period together. "Hey, Selene, can I talk to you!?" I heard from behind me. I turned, shocked to see that Steven was the one who said that to me. "Uhh, sure, I guess so. Blake, I'll catch up." Blake nodded at me and gave me a thumbs up with a reassuring smile. When he was out of hearing distance, Steven spoke up. "Look, I saw the way you were looking at me Saturday night when you were over with your parents. I know that you have a crush on me. I've known for a while now. And honestly? I think it's weird. I think that YOU'RE weird. And I have a girlfriend now. Brittany. So just back off and leave us alone. We can be friends, but not until you're over me." As tears filled in my eyes, Brittany walked over. She was gorgeous, but in a fake way, like all the models people see on television. There was a huge football game tonight, so her and all the other cheerleaders were wearing their uniforms to get the school's spirit pumped. I was going to go to see Steven play, but not anymore. I looked up and saw Steven and Brittany making out, so I ran to the bathroom just as the tears overflowed, and before I knew it, I was in the bathroom, trying to hold them back. I cried for about 5 minutes before I went out into the hall. I figured that I would hold it all in and then call Eva and cry when I got home. As soon as I stepped into the hallway, Blake grabbed me. He pulled me into a huge hug, and then grabbed my hand and started walking with me. It was second period, so him and I were the only ones in the hallway. He told me that I didn't need to explain, Steven told him everything. He sat down in the hallway, put me into his lap, and held me while I cried. He rubbed my back, and I thought I felt a butterfly or two. After a couple of minutes, he whispered "The period's almost over...we should get going so we don't get trampled.." I giggled, then looked up at him. He was looking at me too, and before I knew it, he started to lean it. I didn't know what was about to happen. We were about to kiss when the bell rang. We got up and went our seperate ways.
