Jean
Jacket
chapter
4
I stood
outside the store waiting on Jaden. I felt a small breeze and
went to my car to grab my jacket right as he came out.
"ready?" he asked smiling. he had changed out of his
uniform into khaki shorts and a blue Hollister tee. he made his
way to the car and opened the door for me. I slid in the seat,
waited for him to get in, then headed off for the Lighthouse. The
lighthouse was probably the most famous restaurant in our town.
It was famous for its greasy burgers, fries, and anything else
imaginable.
"Welcome to our mcdonalds!" i smiled, he got out,
helped me out and we headed in. I ordered then he ordered and
then we ate and left. We talked about somethings, like school,
which is dorky cuz its summer, and ice cream. Ya......
It was nine when we got back in the car. I asked him what he
wanted to do and he told me to get out of the car.
"WHAT did you just say?!" i said probably to
harsh,
he smiled, then laughed,"you dont trust me?"
so i got out and went to the passengers seat and he headed down
the road.
"where are we going?" i asked,
"be patient!" he smiled, "i didn't say i had not
found places to explore, just not many places."
i stayed quiet the rest of the ride.

"okay, watch your step." he said as i got out. all i
saw was a pasture of wild flowers, but then again i could not see
that well since it was dark. he grabbed a blanket from the trunk
of the bug and grabbed my hand. it surprised me but was perfect.
no awkwardness where he didn't grab my hand right and i didn't
have to adjust. it just fit.
he led me to the middle of the field and put the blanket down. he
grabbed a flower and tucked behind my ear. we laid down and
looked at the stars. he pointed out constellations, just like i
used to do when i was a little kid and i laughed when he told
stories that he made up when he was
little about the
characters in the sky.
i leaned over to see if i could get a glance of his beautiful
eyes and he was looking over at me too. the moment was right, he
leaned closer, and so did i, till our lips met. and right then
and right there, i didnt have a care in the world, not that this
night would end, i just wished it would have carried on forever.
