I NEED ADVICE DESPERATELY!

I'm not in the "popular" category in school, but I'm friends with the most popular girl in school. she loves this apple purell that I usually have, so I always told her that I was gonna get it for her for her birthday and she would always say "YES! OMG I WOULD LOVE THAT!" (no sarcasm). she's a very bubbly girl & is ALWAYS grinning & laughing. anyways, I sent my mom out to get the apple purell because her birthday was yesterday & she comes back with some lavender one & i told her i didnt want it and she got mad at me & told me not to waste it. anyways, I decided to make a joke out of it and I gave her the purell for her birthday. I also made her a really nice card, gave her my sn and told her to IM me sometime & I signed it love ya. your friend, tess(: ;well, I gave her the purell in computer tech, and for the 9 months I've known her, it was the first time I ever saw her frown. her friends asked what it was and she frowned at it and said "purell". her friends liked it, they all asked for some, smelled it, said it smelled good and took some more. when they were done, she took it, RAN ACROSS THE ROOM & PUT IT ON THE TEACHERS DESK! I was like, wtf ! so she saw me looking and she smiled and said "I'll get it later" (uhm, yea rite, wouldnt she just put it on the floor next to her?) anyways, at the end of the class, one of her popular friends says "hey, arent u gonna get ur purell?" I forgot to look at the girl to see what the expression on her face was, but when I looked at my "friend's" face, she was smiling rite at me. she didn't even look back at it. anyways, it was pretty bitchy, the least she coulda done was thrown it out when she got home. afterwards, I texted her and told her the purell thing was a joke it wasn't meant as an actually gift for her to like, it was a joke because she loves purell soooooo much so it's like "here u go happy b-day!" lol. anyways, I texted this to her & she never answered (she usually answers my texts). & I haven't talked to her since yesterday, because computer tech is my only class with her, but I'm going to see her again tomorrow in computer tech, and I'm kinda nervous. like, I'm scared if she says anything to me. if her friends say anything about the purell. if anyone says "hey the purell is still there" or if the teacher asks "does anyone know who put this purell on my desk?" (the teacher wasn't here on wednesday so he didn't see it happen). I know I shouldnt be friends with this girl anymore, and thats not what I'm asking about I'm asking if anyone has any pointers on how I can relax & not stress about computer tech before/during it. like, it was all a joke, so her not liking the gift isn't what hurts. what hurts is that she didn't get the joke, and that she embarassed me & made me look like a fool & how she thinks im so stupid when she put it on the teachers desk & said "ill get it later". like wtf!
