Myspace Bulletin Survey asked this
question:
Isn't the value of the word "love" meaning
less as time goes by?
This is my
answer:
I guess it depends on how you look at
it. This is gonna be long, it's 3AM right now and that's when
my best thoughts come out. So the way I see it is, when you're
13, you don't know what love is but you say it anyway because
it's the only way you can express your feelings. But once you
get your heart broken multiple times (either by the same person
or different people) over the years, you start to learn how to
differentiate your emotions and start to realize what you want
in a person. It's an ever growing list and once you have it,
you can't let it go because you don't want to feel the pain of
heartache again. BUT! It's irrational to expect a human being
to live up to every single thing you have on your
"list." So don't be too picky. We're all humans after
all, none of us are perfect and there's gonna be things about a
person that you don't like. You have to learn to look past that
and once you do, you'll see the potential beauty of their
personality, which in turn will make their physical features
even more beautiful to you. So when you look at
"love" like this, the value of the word actually
becomes more meaningful because you use the word less and less
after each heart break and eventually only save it for the
special people in your life ("special people"
includes family, besties, and significant
others).
