As I sit and listen to these old songs I've found that I
forget the words.
So I listen and replay all the phrases and
mimick all the chords.
Verse after verse, word for word, the keys won't stick in my
head. I
finally figuered that I'm sick of this dreary old tune and in need of a
new melody, but as I
search and scroll I suddenly realize
you can't replace something that's everywhere. You can't erase
something in perminent pen,
invisible ink may disappear but in the end
it's still
there. So what is to become of these old
songs? That is for me to find
out and for you to second-guess.
