from shore to shore
from shore to shore,
i look out to sea.
so many things in front of me.
the waves crash by;
between two lands,
high and dry.
birds fly pass,
from shore to shore,
they travel by.
fish, under the sea.
they don't recognize
the two shores
between them and me.
there's somewhere I'd rather be
on one of those shores,
close to the sea.
