"0.01. it takes longer to blink. it takes longer to sneeze. it takes longer to grab your burning hand from a stove. but 0.01 is shorter than the time it takes to win or lose a race.
i dont complain when we have to do 15x500 or 100x100 on those crazy intervals. i dont care if we have to do 20x300 five times in a row. it might take 6 hours and all im doing is training for a 100 yard/meter race. u might say its not worth it. but do u wanna go to Trials and lose by a 0.01? just because u wanted to slack off in practice? i dont whine. if u do, dont swim. swimmers dont get any time-outs, subsitutes, or half-times. if u cant handle that, go away. if u can, wanna race????"
